I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I want the next version of this website to be. For all this thinking, I've only really come to a few conclusions: * I want to use the layout that Nick made me that's currently sitting on geekgateway * I want to write it in Haskell * I want some sort of news/blog system * All data hosted on the site should be editable (i.e. static pages) Essentially, what I'm looking to do is a sort of wiki/blog mashup. I like the idea of having all content under some sort of revision control, and not having to configure the site post-installation through some set of configuration files. Essentially what I want is a REPL for my website, so that I can design the content interactively, and continue to evolve it over time. I'm thinking of doing this mostly from the ground up, as I'm not so sure that HAppS is really viable yet, and there aren't really any other options. Anyway, just some thoughts. Maybe it'll happen one day :)

I finally broke down and got a flickr account. It's actually been great, especially since the trip to Europe. I was able to upload all of my photos at one time, and categorize them without much trouble at all. There's also a nice feature in F-Spot that allows me to export to my flickr account, so it's worked out quite well.

As I'm dragging my ass on the site re-design, I put up a gallery2 instance on geekgateway.com. I'm thinking that this will be my primary place for pictures now, and that funkninja will be re-written to handle text posting and some other fun stuff. Maybe photo galleries one day, but gallery just does such a damn good job :)

On the way home, I heard a man talking on his cell phone:

"Yeah, just give me a minute, I'll come on over in the Volvo."

I looked over at the Volvo that he was walking towards and couldn't help but catch the license plate. It read NACHOS. There is quite a bit more to this man than meets the eye.
